Hi! I’m Fatima. I’ve completed my Bachelor degree in Business Administration in Abu Dhabi University. Right now, I’m looking for a job that fits with my degree.
What careers services have you received?
I received some advice and guidance to make my CV more professional, and during the career interview, I discussed my future plan with my advisor to see if I’m in the right way or not. Also, we discussed my skills, my interests and my qualifications to search for a job that fits with my personality.
What are the main benefits you’ve gained from the career services which you’ve received?
The benefits I’ve got from career guidance services are unending, starting from saving my time, my effort and my money. We know that employers need proof that we are the best for a job and the CV will give the first impression for that. Also, I got benefit from the mock interview, it helped and prepared me for a real job interview and it increased my self confidence.
Would you recommend the service to other students. Why?
Of course, I recommend it. As I said before it helps me to save my time and my effort, also it helps me to find out the way to get my target job.
What specific activities did you complete with your career advisor?
Actually, I’ve had a job interview that was arranged by my advisor. Before I went there, we prepared my CV and I made a mock interview. The advisor asked me specific questions like to explain my strengths and weaknesses for the job. So, I went to the interview less nervous and well-prepared.

Hi I’m Naama, I’m 26 years old and I graduated from Abu Dhabi University in Spring 2010.
What career services have you received?
Advice about my CV, career guidance from my advisor and information about the labour market as well as interview tips and a mock interview.
What are the main benefits you’ve gained from the career services which you’ve received?
How to prepare my CV, how to search for a job through different sources such as newspaper, website and network. Also the mock interview, which helped to increase myself confidence. I’ve already had the real job interview and my fear was almost vanished; I was more confident at answering the questions and knew what kind of answer to provide.
What specific activities did you complete with your Recruitment Consultant?
CV preparation, mock interview, which helped me in understanding the purpose of the interview and knowing the skills needed for each position I am applying for, and how to link this requirement to myself. I have received interview tips and advice from my advisor which has supported me to prepare well for the job interview.
What was the impact of our service?
When I went for job interview I felt more confident and I had better awareness about what to expect.
Would you recommend the service to other students. Why?
Absolutely, for many reasons. It will improve employability skills and help students to make a proper CV, which will save time in the long term.

Hi! I’m Abdullah. I’m 19 years old. I’m an undergraduate student in my first year at Abu Dhabi University.
What career services have you received?
I have attended several career management workshops, such as how to write an effective CV, how to do a successful job interview, how to build a professional network with others and job search strategies to help me in finding a job. I also completed a careers interview and because I got a job interview for part time work, I requested a mock interview with a Summit Careers Advisor to help me prepare for the interview.
What are the main benefits you’ve gained from the career services which you’ve received?
I’m able to do my CV correctly and I know how to conduct a job interview successfully. I also learned how to make good relationships with people, which will help me in future to find a job.

Attending the workshops, the careers interview and the mock interview.
Would you recommend the service to other students. Why?
Of course. I recommend it because it is helpful at my age and also this stage of study at university. It helps the students to understand what is required at a job interview, how to build the CV, and how to deal with the people within your networks.
