First Monday of every month, we deliver interesting workshops that will be a unique opportunity for you, to gain information about various aspects of a job search process.
CV Workshop: 7th March 2011, Monday - 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
This workshop helps students to learn how to write a winning CV. The workshop provides a platform for students to review and improve their own CVs. Students will be able to learn how to effectively market themselves to potential employers, how to match their qualifications, skills and abilities to the job, understand common mistakes in CV writing and gain useful tips and techniques to tailor a CV.

Building confidence & dealing with nervousness: 4th April 2011, Monday - 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
This workshop enables students to learn how to build confidence and beat nervousness in job interviews. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to understand the impact of nervousness on their behaviour, and learn how to beat nervousness and present themselves confidently in an interview

Interview skills workshop: 2nd May 2011, Monday - 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
This workshop helps students to understand how to excel at job interviews. The workshop provides an opportunity for students to learn how to market their skills, abilities and qualities to employers and deal with difficult interview questions. Attendees will be able to explore and know how to manage different types of interview situations and learn the tips for leaving a positive impression on employers during an interview.

Goal Setting: 8th March 2011, Tuesday: Female - 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm & Male - 02:00 pm – 03:00 pm
This workshop helps students to understand the term “Goal”. It will help students to learn the benefits of setting a goal. Students will be able to follow certain strategies and techniques in setting a goal which will help them plan for their future.

Adult Directions: 19th April 2011, Tuesday: Female - 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm & Male - 02:00 pm – 03:00 pm
This workshop enables students to create a profile on Adult Directions (a computer based careers assessment tool). By the end of the session, attendees will be able to know the most and least relevant jobs to their skills. Students will be able to gather more information about their preferred jobs.

Time Management: 3rd May 2011, Tuesday: Female - 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm & Male - 02:00 pm – 03:00 pm
This workshop enables students to identify Time Management and its importance. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to understand the factors that lead to waste of time and how to avoid these factors. Students will be able to build an effective time management process using certain techniques.

This workshop helps students to use business writing skills in order to communicate effectively with employers and recruitment support providers. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to identify and practice writing their own business letters and learn how to proofread and use power words to communicate their ideas during job search process
